From the end of August to the beginning of November, there is a special celebration in SalzburgerLand - the farmers' autumn festival. A lively range of traditional events makes this period a special holiday experience! Join us in celebrating festivals that we have held for years: harvest festival, the parish fair and many more!
The farmers’ autumn festival also extends as far as Kuchl Museum - throughout the festival, you can enjoy free entry to the museum and its special exhibition.

Learn all about the region’s herbs with certified herb educator Barbara Züger. Afterwards, prepare your own wild herb salad and spreads. In addition, you will prepare a tincture and an ointment to boost your well-being.

The traditional farmers’ autumn festival parish fair is held on each year on the 2nd Sunday in September. Marktstrasse in Kuchl is transformed into a stage for lively festivities. Kuchl Heritage Society and the riding and whip-cracking group ensure a great atmosphere and fabulous food.
If the weather is good, the harvest offerings are blessed in Kuchl marketplace and there is a procession. In bad weather, the harvest thanksgiving is held in Kuchl Parish Church. This is followed by morning drinks with the band and the rural youth association.
The traditional pub quiz is held on the festival site on Fridays, and Kuchl’s Oktoberfest is celebrated with live music in the marquee on Saturdays.
Fascinating farm tours from the cowshed to the show cheesery inform visitors about the dairy industry and cheese production. You can also make your own organic cheese and take it home with you! The delightful farm shop is an inviting place to browse and buy fresh produce. Tennengau + guest card holders enjoy a discount on the farm tour including cheese tasting.
